M.A.I.N. was formed in December of 1980 to create a statewide voice for low-income concerns. We are a coalition of low-income individuals and organizations working together to gain control of our living conditions. M.A.I.N. is a coalition of people Advocating for our common needs Sharing our resources to support each other Strengthening local groups Learning how to participate in and influence the political process Working together to gain economic equality for everyone Creating opportunities to build self-esteem Encouraging everyone to get involved in the decision making that affects our lives Learn more about our work by reading November 2003 Poverty Conference Report.
