Women of the World

welcome.gif (1484 bytes)Each month, women from a different country or culture prepare a meal of their native foods. The meal is followed by a program featuring some aspect of their culture. There is a minimal cover charge for the meal. First time guests and young children are welcome to attend at no cost.

Women of the World is a group of international women including Americans, who gather monthly in Orono area for an ethnic lunch, to share their foods, their cultural heritages, and to welcome new-comers to this area of Maine.

WOW is a support group of international women sponsored by the University of Maine's Office of International Programs. Membership is open to all women in this area of Maine.

Monthly meetings are usually held on the second Monday at noon each month, September through May. Meetings are held in the vestry of the Church of Universal Fellowship on Main Street in Orono, Maine. Tentative Schedule for 1999-2000.
