Winter - 2011/2012!
Wow! It is only October and we just endured our first
introduction to Maine winter weather with a good ole NorthEaster
blizzard. A very wet snow and high winds ensured that we were
going to encounter fallen tree branches, trees and of course power
outages.
This early introduction to winter caught most, if not all of
us unprepared and prompted a surge of action to get boats, outside
furniture, garden plots, garden hoses, etc. all put away for the
winter and ahead of the early snow storm.
Winter will arrive all too quickly and on it's own time table.
I just hope that we do not have to endure another winter like last
winter with what seemed like an over abundance of snow and bitterly
cold weather. I prefer the warmer weather myself where I can enjoy
my leisure time out on the open water listening to the waves playing
patty-cake with the sides of the boat and not have to worry about where
my mittens, heavy coat and thermals are.
See you in the spring!
