Members Present: Tom Spitz, Robert Welch, Jim
Ellis, Alan Boynton, Bert Ingraham, Larry Willis, Jim Lacadie,
Lorin LeCleire, Barb Hildreth, Susan Young, Cliff Wells and Kathy
Knight.. Others Present: Barbara Cox.
Old Business
- Plans Update
- We have a new plan for Lincoln Sanitary
District that needs to be reviewed. Jim Ellis, Cliff
Wells, Bert Ingraham and Bob Welch volunteered to do the
review on an upcoming Wednesday, date to be announced.
Any one else interested in participation may call our
office.
- Training Updated
New Business
- Weapons of Mass Destruction: Bert has been
working to gather a team to do the county assessment.
Mike Anderson/Hampden Fire, Glen Ross/Penobscot County
Sheriffs Dept., Chief Les Brown/East Millinocket
Fire Dept., Chief Lorin LeCleire/Orono Fire Department
and a representative from Newport Police Department.
- Info Shorts: EOC Management and Operations
Course will be held on April 24-26 in Keene, NH and
Decision Making In a Crises will be held on April 10 in
South Portland. Anyone interested in attending may call
our office.
- Chief LeCleire gave an update on the
Penobscot County Emergency Response Team. The two new
trailers are lettered and are at Bangor Fire until the
decision is made on where to house them. The dive
division and the technical rescue division have been
training and responding to incidents. However, it has
been difficult to muster interest in the haz mat
division. If training funds are obtained, this may help
the effort.
- Closing remarks were made by Chairman
Welch. Next meeting May 17th.
